SYNOPSIS : Costa Rica is one of the most biodiverse places on the planet, home to over 500,00 species of animal. It’s this that brings millions of tourists here each year. However, due to human activities such as deforestation, urbanisation and the illegal wildlife trade some species’ populations are declining. Rescue centres are seeing an increased number of species like sloths and monkeys being taken from the wild or killed due to human incompetence. Therefore, the story will follow the rescue of a baby monkey who has been electroctued and its rehabilitation/release process. It will also focus on the work that the staff/ volunteers do to help conservation and raise awareness of the problems wild animals face.
